zedas®mobile: mobile logistics management for freight railways
zedas®mobile complements the central logistics solution zedas®cago and enables the mobile management of rail freight traffic. With zedas®mobile you have a mobile interface to the central IT system and increase the efficiency of operative procedures. Thanks to mobile communication you can integrate shunting and long-haul traffic staff into the management system.
You provide them with relevant information quickly and easily using industry-standard handheld devices thus minimising extensive consultation, recordings and sources of error associated with this. Engine drivers can complete their tasks promptly on site independently of the central control room.
Depending on the application, data can be transferred or provided as part of a wireless LAN or by UMTS. The handheld software's integrated offline function guarantees the continuous availability of data even in case of the radio link being disconnected. The interface to zedas®cargo provides seamless integration without any system discontinuity or any other need for coordination.
