Rail infrastructure maintenance using zedas®asset: functions
Rail infrastructure maintenance is characterised by very specific and complex requirements. Thanks to our many years of experience, we have been able to take these specific rail conditions into account and implement them in our zedas®asset management solution.
The zedas®asset functions are comprehensive and relate to the entire infrastructure: tracks, points, signalling and control systems, rail power supply systems, bridges, buildings, stops, escalators and contact lines.
Here's a summary of functions:
- Maintenance planning and control of linear track networks
- Mapping and management of entire infrastructure
- Visualisation of track network and all other infrastructure as well
as their properties and conditions - Exactly metered management of heterogeneous rail networks
- Construction drawings and histories at the place of installation
- Mobile data acquisition
- Recording and tracking of track network history for maintenance
expenses, load, condition, constructions, incidents - Schedule planning and weak point analysis
- Defect and fault management
- Monitoring of warranties at part section level
- Acceptance of inspection data
- Acquisition of operational parameters (tonnage, track overrun,
measuring points on tracks and points, switching operations) - Railway terminology and nomenclature
- Reporting on a daily basis
During development, particular attention was paid to the necessity of incorporating service partners and to the integration of measured data. Key elements of the zedas®asset solution support the IDMVU data model with the VDV 456 standard interface.
